BROWN, Charles Van

Charles Van Brown, age 69, of Bastrop, formerly of Austin, TX was called to live with his eternal father. He departed this life, Thursday, January 24, 2013.

The retired IBM employee is survived by his loving wife, Carroll Williams Brown; sons, Chris (Tracie) Brown and Clint (Donita) Brown; granddaughters, Charlize and Camdyn Brown; brother, Thurmis L. (Mary) Brown; sister, Josephine Moore; mother-in-law, Robbie Williams; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 1:00 – 7:00 pm at King-Tears Mortuary. Services will take place at Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00 am. Interment at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery. Services entrusted to Barry J.W. Franklin, CFSP, A Life Celebration by Franklin, Taylor, Texas.
