BUCANEK, Charles W.

On April 9, 2017, God called home an angel. Charles W. Bucanek passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in West, on Oct. 25, 1933, and later moved to Granger.

Charles was a farmer in Granger before enlisting in the Navy; later on Charles went to work at American Desk in Taylor.

Charles loved Czech music and the Rockport Beach.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents Charles L. and Angela (Woytek) Bucanek.

Charles is survived by his wife, Irene; daughters, Debbie Kubiak husband David, Cheryl Hegar with Lee Perez, sons Charles D. Bucanek wife Tisha, Sidney Bucanek wife Cris; sister Lillian Zycha; brothers, Frankie Bucanek and Eddie Bucanek wife Mary. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Pall bearers are grandchildren Chance Bucanek, Dylan Bucanek, Seth Bucanek, Jaden Kubiak, Blayne Hegar, Blake Hegar, John Pyle Jr. and Timmy Crisp.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday, April 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. and a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Condra Funeral Home in Taylor. A service will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Taylor.
