Billy Joe Buchanan was born on December 22, 1951 and passed away on February 19, 2006, he was 54. Bill was born in Lampasas, Texas and was a life long resident of Austin. He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn R. Irwin; grandparents, John Hall, Irene Hall, and Thelma Irwin; and brother-in-law, Richard Wallace. Bill was married to Carolyn Ayers for 29 years; three sons, John William Buchanan, Billy Joe Buchanan, Jr. and Sam Buchanan; one daughter, Susan Kaye Buchanan; his mother, Juanita Irwin; one brother, Larry Buchanan and wife Betsy; five sisters, Betty White and husband Rick, Shiela Jackson and husband Calvin, Dianna Buchanan, Brande Merriman, Karen Preece and husband Gaylon, and Sally Wallace; and 14 nieces and 19 nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2006 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Mr. Jimmy Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery, on FM 2338, Andice, Texas. Pallbearers are Ray Simpson, Jimmy Boatman, Kevin Wallingsford, Marvin (Hupie) Nauert, Rudy Barron, Charlie Jackson, Art Alva, B.B. Labruzza and Dan Dodgen.
