Normadene was an active member at First Shiloh Baptist Church for 50 years. She showed her Christian faith by treating people with love and respect.

Normadene was truly an amazing woman. She was known for her honesty, kind and gentle demeanor, and was loved by many. Her ability to see the truth in any situation was just one of the attributes that her friends and family will remember most. She touched many peoples’ lives. Family favorites include her famous peanut brittle, fried chicken, crispy tacos, chicken fried steak, and jalapeƱo rice.

A precious one from us has gone
A voice we loved is stilled;
A place is vacant in our home,
Which never can be filled.
God in His wisdom has recalled,
The moon his love had given,
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in Heaven.
