CLUCK, Susan Lynn

Susan Lynn Cluck, age 45, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Dripping Springs, Texas. She was predeceased by her mother, Victoria Richardson. Susan is survived by her husband, Christopher Cluck; three daughters, Emily Paige Cluck and Shelby Lynn Cluck of Dripping Springs, and Victoria Deaton and children of Ace, Texas; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alicia and Tracy Cluck of Dripping Springs; grandparents-in-law Marjorie Cluck and Jack and Geneva Fellers; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Henry Gilchrest; and numerous other relatives. Susan was born in Beaumont, Texas on March 27, 1964. She grew up in South Texas and Florida before settling in the Bryan/College Station area where she worked as a nursing aide until earning her paramedic degree from Blinn College. Susan was especially proud of this accomplishment and was devoted to helping others, working as a paramedic until she retired to start a family. Susan married Chris at an ocean-front ceremony in Antigua on his birthday in 2006 and they began raising a family in Dripping Springs. Susan and Chris were blessed with two beautiful daughters, Emily Paige, age 3, and Shelby Lynn, age 2. Orphaned at an early age, Susan cherished family and was a loyal and vital part of her new family and young daughters’ lives. With her new husband overseas in Iraq, Susan joined Riverbend Church where one of her greatest joys was singing in the choir. She loved taking care of her daughters and helping her family. Her contagious smile, joyous personality and positive influence in the lives of her children and family will be deeply missed. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.,, Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. A visitation will also be held at 10:00 a.m.,, Monday, January 25, 2010, at Riverbend Church. Funeral Services will follow the visitation on Monday. Interment will be at Cedar Park Cemetery.
