Alta Bell Robbins Foster, 88, born on October 9, 1915, in Jonah, Texas, to Frank and Frances Fine Robbins, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2004, in Houston, Texas. Alta is preceded in death by her son, Sam Foster, Sr.; daughter, Frances Josephine; and mother, Frances Fine Robbins. Survived by her loving husband of 66 years, George Foster; daughter-in- law, Diana Foster; grandson and wife, Sam and Sandra Foster; granddaughter, Mandy Foster; great-grandson, Joshua Foster; nieces, Carolyn Slaughter and Judy Gregg; great- nephews, Wesley Brokaw and Bruce Smith; cousins, Effieline Woolbright, Sarah Eastman, Lee Jay Walden and Norene Rollins. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 29, 2004, at Waltrip Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at Noon in the Waltrip Chapel.
