Lois C. Funderburgh 78 of Cedar Park, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2011. Lois was born On November 14, 1932 in Leander Texas and lived in and around the Austin area her entire life. She was a state employee and worked at the capitol for over 25 years. She retired in 2007. She was full of tenderness, kindness, graciousness, very soft spoken, a giving person, and always had others best interest at heart. She spent countless hours sewing. She stitched with great affection for children’s charitable causes which were dear to her heart. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with her many loving friends and had a passion for books and reading from her extensive library collection. She loved life to the fullest and loved her family unconditionally. She loved sweets and always said,” I’d give up chocolate, but I’m no quitter” and that “Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first.” Her kitchen always had some sort of homemade confection on the counter or in the refrigerator. She was the best loving and tender Mother and Gram any family could hope for. She will be sorely missed. Her Christian Spirituality and faith was the fulfillment of her whole person.
