Carol Dianne Gray, 71, of Smith Point, died Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at Harbor Hospice, Beaumont. She was born July 19, 1941, in Clifton, to Cleo Hoff Homerstad and Arnold Homerstad. Carol was a long-time resident of Austin and a graduate of Travis High School. She retired as a secretary for the Federal Highway Administration, and had lived in the Smith Point area since 1995. She is survived by her loving husband of twenty-one years, Jesse Gray of Smith Point; sons, Mark Coble of Austin and James Coble and his wife, Ellen of Round Rock; step-son, Richard Gray and his wife, Linda of Hutto; brothers, Jan Homerstad and his wife, Rebecca, and Gary Homerstad and his wife, Kathie; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Gray’s name to Star of Hope, Star of Hope Administration Building, 6897 Ardmore, Houston, Texas 77054.
