LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN FARR

The State of Texas, County of Williamson.

I, John Farr, of the county of Williamson, and State of Texas, being of strong and disposing mind and memeory, but sick in body, and calling to mind the fraility and uncertainty of life, and being desirous of settling my workdly affairs while I have the strength and capacity so to do, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all others heretofore by me made.

It is my will and desire that all the property both real, personal and mixed that I die seized and possessed of, after the payment of all my just debts, together with the expenses incident to the probating of this will, shall pass to and vest in, fee simple in my beloved wife Josephine P. Farr; and after the payment of all my just debts, I, John Farr, give, bequeath and demise to my beloved wife, Josephine P. Farr, the remainder of all the property that I may own or be interested in at the time of my death, in fee simple, to manage, sell or dispose of as shemay wish or see proper; in the event my beloved wife, Josephine P. Farr, should have said property or any part thereof remaining in her possession at the time of her, Josephine P. Farr’s death, then said property so remaining shallpass to and vest in my beloved chilren, share and share alike.

I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife, Josephine P. Farr, Executrix of this my last will and testament and direct that no bond or security be required of her as such executrix.

It is my will that no other action be had in the County Court in the administration of my estate, than to prove and record this will and to return an inventory and appraisement of my estate and list of claims.

In Testimony witness my hand this December 7th, A. D. 1914.

Signed, declaired and published by John Farr, as his last will and testament, in the presence of us the attesting witnesses, by said John Farr making his mark, and we the attesting witnesses, have hereunto signed our names in the presence of the said John Farr, and at the special instance and request of the said John Farr, this the 7th day of December A. D. 1914.

(Note: Josephine Paralee EVANS Farr was the daughter of James Felix Evans and Narcissa Ann Mathews. Josephine was a sister to my ggrandfather, James Knox Polk Evans.)
