Martha Beatrice Mellott of Leander, TX, a retired bookkeeper and beloved member of her church congregation, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10th at the age of 84.

Martha was born on July 4th, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio. Martha studied Interior Design at Purdue University before moving to Texas in the 1980s where she would spend the remainder of her days. After retiring in her 60s, Martha spent a lot of time in her wood workshop crafting beautiful wooden pieces for friends, family and church bazaars. She was also a very skilled gardener who, even into her 80s, enjoyed spending time indulging her green thumb.

Martha was loved by family, friends, her community and enriched the lives of everyone she touched. Martha is survived by her children; Raymond Mellott and spouse, Barton Mellott and spouse, and Susan Widmer. Grandchildren; Jonathan Mellott, Geoffrey Mellott and spouse, Gabriel Widmer and spouse, Jessica Widmer and spouse, Leah Smith and spouse and 6 great grandchildren.
