MONTGOMERY, Laraine

MONTGOMERY, Laraine, born in San Antonio, TX November 27, 1944 peacefully transitioned to our Heavenly Father August 3, 2014.

Christian, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Servant and Friend, Laraine’s love for life, family and friends was surpassed only by her love of God and our Lord Jesus Christ in whom she placed her hope and trust all the days of her life.

As a child growing up in Marble Falls, TX and Austin Laraine knew at an early age that her artistic nature would be the base for her servitude and would lay the foundation for her relationships and future. Laraine was a gifted singer, writer of inspirational poems and artist. What she loved most however was making life beautiful for others in any way she could. A gifted hair dresser and decorator Laraine used her talents to make others feel better about themselves, plan church events, and welcome others into the family home and circle in any and every way. She used her interactions with others to speak of Jesus and his sacrifice and was never afraid or shy to share the good news with all she met.

Married in 1965 to the love of her life Vernon Montgomery in Austin TX, her dreams of a family came true first with a daughter and then later with a son. Laraines constant attention to her family defined her life and were an inspiration to all who witnessed the depth and breadth of her love. In this and too many ways to mention her lasting legacy is the example she set and the inspiration for so many who will try to shadow that example.
