Mrs. Kroschewsky, Early Resident, Dies; Rites Friday
Mrs. Richard J. Kroschewsky, 82, long-time resident of Taylor, died in an Austin Hospital Wednesday. Mrs. Kroschewsky was the widow of Richard Kroschewsky, prominent and well known Taylor farmer, who proceded her in death October 13, 1953. She was born in Giddings, July 27, 1874 and moved to Taylor with her parents when she was very young. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and the Sons of Herman Sister Lodge for 41 years. Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday from Condra Memorial Chapel followed by requiem Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10 o’clock with Rev. Stephen Brown and Rev. Arthur Michalka, officiating. Burial will be in Taylor City Cemetery. Her grandsons will be pallbearers: Richard Nauert, Emzy Nauert, Julius Kroschewsky, Harvey Benad, Toby Keaton, and Howard Baker.
She is survived by one son, Julius Kroschewsky of Taylor; three daughters, Mrs. W.L. Tucker of San Antonio; Mrs. D.L. Gathright of Austin, and Mrs. Ed Nauert of Bartlett; one brother, Robert Krempin of Taylor; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Osburn of Lexington; Mrs. Mattie Dalrymple and Mrs. Louise Geltmacher, both of Fort Worth and Mrs. Bess Baker of Taylor; five grandchildren and four great-great granchildren.
