REED, Kenneth Lee

Kenneth Lee Reed beloved husband, father, grandpa passed away peacefully on April 2, 2013.

He was born May 31, 1935 in Austin, TX to Howard and Ruth Reed. He married his best friend & soul mate Ann Reed nee Pierce of Austin on Jan 11, 1957. He loved the outdoors and loved being with his family. Loved going out dancing with his wife, going to Las Vegas & Louisiana with his family gambling, spending time with his children and grandchildren going to the ranches hunting and going to the lake & coast fishing. He was a carpenter for years for LO Jackson Construction.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ann Reed of Austin; his two children, daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Gordon Ransleben of Fredericksburg, son and daughter-in-law, Jody and Debbie Daugherty of Jarrell; five grandchildren, granddaughter Clara and husband, Roger Cyr of Jarrell, granddaughter, Karen Price-Cessna of Fredericksburg, grandson, Travis and wife, Melissa Daugherty of Kennedy, grandson, Wesley and wife, Brooke Price of Burnet, grandson, Tyrel Ransleben & fiancé, Kellie Switzer of Austin; twelve great-grandchildren, Chasity, Chantel, Chelsea Price of Fredericksburg, Travis Cockerham and Kody Cockerham of Jarrell and Keanu, Kiara, Kylie and Kenneth Jr. Price of Burnet, Katelee, Jodee and Debra Daugherty of Kennedy and 2 great-great-children, Brayden Cantu & Kennedy Gallander of Fredericksburg; Sister, Margie Holder of Burnet and numerous family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruth Reed, sister, Merel Minders, his brother, William Reed, and his grandson and best friend, Kenneth Neal Price.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from six o’clock until eight o’clock in the evening, on Friday, the 5th of April 2013, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. A funeral service will be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Saturday, the 6th of April, in the Colonial Chapel of Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas. Interment will follow in Austin Memorial Park, Austin, Texas.
