Wilford Ed Schneider, age 82, of Georgetown, Texas, died Saturday, February 28, 2004. He was born September 11, 1921, in Georgetown to Herman Carl and Emily Anna Schneider. He married Mary Lois Sybert on January 1, 1946, in Holland, Texas. Mr. Schneider was a Farmer and Rancher and a member of the Methodist faith. He was Captain of the Williamson County Sheriffs Posse; President of the Williamson County Livestock Association; and a member of the Georgetown VFW #5885. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lois Schneider, of Georgetown; one daughter, Jan Johnson and husband Rick of Georgetown; two sons, Charles (Pud) Schneider and wife Marsha of Knippa, Texas, and John B. Schneider and wife Jane of Flatonia, Texas; one sister, Gladys Queen of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two nieces; and numerous great- nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 1, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, with Bro. Bob Champion officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at The Gabriels. Burial will be at Berry Creek Cemetery in Georgetown. Memorials may be made to the Berry Creek Cemetery Association, or to Hospice.
